St Bride Library is world-famous for its collections in the areas of printing and the graphic arts. Not only does it contain books, periodicals and archives, but also items that help explain the techniques and products of over 500 years of print history.
The Library's original website was established in 1998 by the Friends of St Bride Library, as part of a campaign to secure the Library's future. At first, it served as a brochure giving basic information, but as time passed it expanded to include a substantial collection of links and information about the events organised by the Friends. It soon outgrew its structure, layout and technological foundation.
