Our solution

We researched content and wrote copy for the folder, structuring the information in Framemaker+SGML. The folder needed to be easy to read and accessible, so the language had to be clear and the design attractive, clean and welcoming.

We created an authoring template which would meet the needs of both the folder and the web site. We decided which pieces of information should form the key 'tips' for the folder and which should be part of the more detailed website. The text elements were labelled accordingly in the structured file. This labelling allowed the web-only elements to be automatically excluded when the folder was printed.

RivCom developed XML/SGML tools to process and publish our structured file, the output being a website designed to meet both our design standards and the client's specifications.

"Text Matters delivered a high quality service in the preparation and presentation of text and graphics for our water minimisation folder and in preparing text for our website. They displayed initiative and were responsive and professional throughout."
