For the applications, the problem was that a typical IPPC application form on paper runs to over 150 pages, and is specific to a particular industrial sector. We worked with the Agency to develop an electronic form which can be used on local PCs and delivers XML data to feed the Agency's systems. We also developed a form-production system which allows the Agency to create sectoral form variants with minimum fuss while still meeting the needs of the Agency.
Forms and documents are integrated into a CD-based application pack which has rolled out throughout 2003, 2004 and into 2005.
