Our solution

We developed a secure website that would allow members to post questions to senior advisors and be notified of responses online. This Advice Direct service is an invaluable benefit for HCSA members.

We made sure that it was easy for members to log in and update their details, and for site administrators to manage the new site efficiently.

The new HCSA website, HCSA Direct, gives every member a secure, private space for discussions and questions, and a resource for keeping information where members can easily find it. The new site

• delivers faster news: the latest-posted news appear when members log in
• offers confidential advice from senior advisors
• is a growing resource that members can search for news, documents and discussions
• research findings in a simple, clear but 'undesignerly' way as they were intended to appear as fresh 'raw' data
• allows members to update their personal details easily
• allows open debate in a closed community: members-only discussion groups
• is accessible to all: navigate using a 'screen reader', and use the site on any computer or browser - even on a phone.
