KnowHow NonProfit: new design and features

KnowHow NonProfit website

In 2008 we started work on the design and build of a website for KnowHow NonPofit; an online resource and area that aims to help ‘third sector’ groups manage themselves better.

There are several components to the site, as well as a range of related sites. Our work on this site is ongoing – and we regularly update the design and/or features of the site. New features include a study zone with training videos, discussions and the facility for users to suggest training topics; a ‘How To’ section, updated personal ‘dashboard’ for registered users; and an online store. Proforest website – new look

Proforest website

Proforest are an international organisation helping governments and commercial organisations develop environmental policies and procedures. We have worked with Proforest since 2001 when we developed a web-based multilingual questionnaire for them.

In 2010 Proforest went through a rebranding exercise and they asked us to design and build them a new website following their new brand. They also wanted to add more interactivity and visual interest.

The new site is built on the Plone CMS, and wherever possible we’ve made features editable through the web, meaning the client is able to keep the site up-to-date very easily. Behind the scenes we updated the site to use the latest best practice for the software, resulting in an improvement in performance and reliability. [read more about this project]

Designing the Ibrahim Index of African Governance summary report

Ibrahim Index of African Governance summary report

The Mo Ibrahim Foundation produces the annual Ibrahim Index of African Governance – a comprehensive ranking of African countries according to governance quality.

In 2009 the Foundation decided to publish a summary report of the Index and asked us to design and lay out the 44-page A4 report. The report had to be engaging and easy to read and we had to illustrate findings with clear graphical and tabular representations of data.

We’ve since designed two editions of their 2010 report in French and in English and are working with the Foundation on the 2011 edition of the summary report. [read more about this project]
